Cut Hosting Costs To Beat The Credit Crunch

By Summer Hosting | October 27, 2008

Money JarMany webmasters are understandably worried about the credit crunch and the adverse effect it may have on their online business. To help keep your business growing and keep profits stable it is a good idea to try and cut costs when and where possible. The cost cutting shouldn’t be negative though and harm the level of service you provide.

A good way to do this is to change hosts. It is a bit of hassle for you but for the sake of a mornings work you could potentially save yourself hundreds of dollars per year (dependent on how big your websites are).

Top Tip To Get A Good Price
The best way I have found to get a good deal is to haggle. You won’t be able to do this with websites like Hostgator but you can with the companies who are much smaller (but still provide a great service). I haggled on my the new reseller hosting account I recently opened and got a price of just over £17, the package normally costs £29.99 - this is over 40% off!

Just contact the host telling them your requirements (make sure they differ from their packages available) and the budget you are trying to stick to. See what they come back with and if no good then just move onto the next hosting provider!

Eventually you can get yourself a great deal with a really good host and in the process lower your costs and help your business beat the credit crunch!
