Learn One Way; cPanel or FTP and Master It
The main two ways webmasters manage their websites is via FTP or cPanel. I myself use cPanel because I find it really easy to use and love all the various functions and features that it has. Some webmasters prefer FTP, it is just a personal choice and shouldn’t really affect the success of your website.
However it can affect the success of your website. If you stuggle to manage your website then development of the actual site will be slow, costing you time and money.
It is important that you pick either cPanel or FTP and master it. Even if you are only ever intending to set-up and run one website, you want to be fully confident and sure in what you are doing. I run quite a few websites and have done for a few years now, I’ve always used cPanel and feel very comfortable using it. On the other hand I know nothing about FTP and never intend to manage any website via FTP.
Conclusion
When you are looking for a new hosting provider make sure you get hosting with your preferred choice, and stick with it throughout your online journey. Because if you chop and change between the two it could affect your success!
