Does Web Hosting Location Affect Rankings?
This is a question I have seen asked many a time on popular webmaster forums such as DigitalPoint. So here is the answer from one of the people on the web you really should listen to! Mr Matt Cutts from Google:
Before this video was released I’d been saying for years that the location of the server your website is hosted on had an effect on your search rankings. This video is proof, end of discussion. So if you aren’t already then go forth and get a region specific provider or hosted exchange service.
